I love hockey but I am having difficulty obtaining a ticket as I do not own a smartphone. I have ZERO interest in owning one. I have zero interest in taking selfies; I have zero interest in Facebook; I have zero interest in Tumblr. I have zero interest in smartphones, period.
I noticed that at almost every venue, when I try to buy a stubhub ticket, I see the following message:
"
Mobile Ticket
Your tickets will be ready by
"
It says the ticket will be available IN MY STUBHUB ACCOUNT. Does this mean that I can show my ticket using this laptop computer? I am using Mozilla Firefox right now. I do know how to borrow a mobile wifi device from the public library, so accessing wifi and using Mozilla Firefox when I carry my laptop computer away from home is definitely within the realm of possibility for me.
I will not be wasting money on a smartphone just so that I can attend the occasional hockey game. I do not love hockey that much.
If you get tickets, will you be going to the game solo or with someone else? If you are going with someone else, you could use their phone to show/scan the tickets.
To add to what @matti58 said the ticket world is going digital so that the days of paper/hard tickets is a thing of the past. If you would like to go to a game then either 1) get a smartphone, 2) use a table, 3) go with a friend who has a smart phone.
I do not have anyone whom I can go to a game with, in part because I live a celibate lifestyle, but that is probably a little too much information. Also, I do not know how to use a smartphone, and I would rather just not go to a game ever again, than put myself through the hassle of learning how to use a smartphone. Like I said earlier, I just don't love hockey enough to justify the hassle of buying a smartphone.
Also, may I please humbly ask, what does "use a table" mean? I am very much a part of the older generation (V.C.R., landline phone, answering machine, Microsoft Excel, overhead transparency, cassette tape, etcetera) and I do not know what is meant by "use a table." I am merely curious; that is all.
typo - meant to say tablet or ipad.
Hello! Unless the delivery method of the tickets says Physical or UPS, you will need a smartphone to attend the event. \ (•◡•) /
