1099 and SNN - Canadian Seller

Any idea how the new 1099 and SNN requirements relate to sellers located in Canada, but selling US events?

Canadians typically do not have a US TIN or SNN obviously.

This is stated on the website:

"Beginning January 1, 2022, sellers who reach the $600 threshold and do not have TIN information on file will receive an email alerting them to update their information. Payment will be withheld from sellers until TIN information is provided."

Payout is to Canadian Paypal account.

We would definitely suggest you follow up with a tax professional in your area to go over the information with them. If it's required for you to claim the income, then you'll need that 1099. Otherwise, you can fill out that as being exempt. But be sure that you're discussing the necessary information with a specialist before making changes.
