I sold my Adele tickets for the original date before the show was postponed. Never transferred tickets to buyer as I had no idea what was going to happen.
I now have the new date. How do I communicate this with the buyer? Can I unsell the tickets? I may be able to go now. What's the protocol??? HELP!
Hi @sandvm01
Stubhub will notify the buyer of the new date for the concert. DO NOT Cancel the sale as you will incur a penalty of 100% of the value of the sale, If you are now able to go you will have to buy new tickets. Remember that payment is 5-8 Business days After the event.
do i need to transfer the tickets now? do I update the in hand date? Sorry new to all of this. @Melpik
You can transfer the tickets now as the buyer is always worrying about when the tickets will come. Tehre is no need ot update the inhand date. That is usually done automatically.
@Melpik can my buyer cancel the sale if they can't go on the new date?
The buyer can not cancel the sale. If they can not attend the new date they are free to sell the tickets and Stubhub will waive the sellers fee. You can transfer the tickets AND remember to confirm the trasnfer in your Stubhub account as this lets Stubhub know that hte transfer has occured. You should also keep the email you get from tticketmaster showing that you made the transfer.
@Melpik how does stub hub know what date I was reassigned?
Usually each show is reassigned a new date so Stubhub has that information.
I'm in a similar situation. I updated the date I will have the tickets "in hand" on StubHub. Should I also confirm the transfer now? Since tickets won't be ready until 5-6 days before the show, can the buyer now cancel if he/she doesn't want them?
