I am curious as to who one needs to talk to regarding the poor excuse we have for musical concerts in, or near Sacramento, California. With the number of venues we have here, it is mind-boggling to me that we have such a horrible line-up of concert artists for our area. The last few concerts I have gone to were a fabulous concert with Lionel Ritchie, albeit a number of years ago, with the most recent (almost a year ago), Johnny Mathis. Yes, I have eclectic tastes in music. I had tickets for Eddie Izzard (Stand-up) but was going to have to drive to Stockton for that one, and it was just canceled. I have looked through all the local and regional venues and it's all ballet, Kings games, and solo artists I've never even heard of. There has to be a person or department that selects the artists for each of the various venues, but all are falling down on the job. Sorry, I just needed to vent, after more less-than-fruitful results in looking for upcoming concerts. It's a disgrace that as large as Sacramento now is, we have nothing of any caliber booked. Ugh!
