Up until last week or so, all my listings had 10% seller fees. Starting from last week I started seeing 13% seller fee on one of the most recent listings, and ever since then all the new listings I create shows 13% seller fees. Used the customer service chat option to ask about it and the agent said seller fees have always varied from 8%~17% based on the event. This is not true because up until last week, the seller fees have been 10% on every single listings I sold. Also some listings that I created a few weeks ago (that havent been sold yet) still shows a payout of 10% seller fees when I go to my listings page, but when I try to create a new listing for the same exact event the seller fee for the new listing equals to 13%. So it is definitely not based on the event type.
Sorry for any confusion there. This is a fairly recent change that we have made on the fee structure. You are correct, it used to be 10% but now can vary anywhere from 10%-15%. Many factors go into how this fee is calculated including but not limited to the specific event, venue, or seats.

Thank you for your answer Paul.
You said seller fees can vary based on the event and venue, then can I ask for the reason why one listing for the same event/venue had a different seller fee percetange than the other listing? They were for the same exact event (date, time, place). Thank you.
That is a great question. Were they listed at the same time? Unfortunately, I couldn't get as granular as you'd probably like because our events team is solely responsible for those details and I wouldn't have that info. However, the change was made fairly recently, so if you had listings created before the change, some may still be at the original flat fee rate while others are now reflecting the recent rate change.
hi paul. did stubhub send out an email regarding this to its sellers? or did it just try to slip it past them hoping people wouldn't notice.
Definitely didn't send out an email. I'm annoyed they increased prices but annoyed has turned into anger know they made no effort to communicate it to sellers. Brutal.
As a frequent seller on StubHub, I am not at all happy with the increased fees and the lack of transparency around how they are now determined. I am checking out alternative sites for future sales of tickets as a 50% increase in what I have to pay as a commission is not acceptable.
