Until recently, I had a very positive experience with Stub Hub. No longer is that the case. I had similar experience as those who shared their stories here. Bought tickets last Fall, the night of the show season finale, for the March 2 performance of Dancing with the Stars. I had some concerns from the beginning when I realized it only showed a section, not specific seats (though it seems they will get you either way now) and that statement about it being "normal" for tickets to not get transferred until the day of an event. What LEGITIMATE / ETHICAL reason would a seller have for not transferring upon purchase?!?! This transferring not until the day of stuff is BS. Sure enough, after we'd already made all the plans, acquired the attire, had hair & nails done- expenses that are rare in our family but part of the Christmas gift to our daughter, I received an email a few hours before show started saying that the seller didn't actually have the tickets to transfer. Seriously,what is wrong with people?!? Why does stub hub even allow someone to "sell" something they don't have proof to have? Refunding us is not a JUST outcome when you see from reading these stories how many people have gone to great extent to travel, and other wise invest in an event- physically and emotionally.
