Just spent half an hour being told I made the same "mistake". No we didn't!!!! The currency is, was, and remains CAD. Tried buying a new ticket just to be sure... once you get to the payment page, it still shows CAD. Then it says Order summary CA $ xxx.xx "This is an approximate conversion. These tickets are listed in USD. You will pay US$ ×××.××." And it charges the USD amount. There is nothing we can change. Not our error. I am fuming too. If it even said "Your payment method will be charged USD" I would have used an Amex card that doesn't charge conversion fees... but it does not. I get it's approximate. Exchange rates vary. I expected the final price to be within a few dollars... not in USD with an extra 2.5% fee from my credit card company. Class action anyone?????
