In the past, Stubhub didn't list due to strict no transfer policies. There are ways around this, but they usually only list the ones where you can transfer.

I think it depends on how cheap. Lets say the seller listed them for $7 instead of $70. That's more than likely a mistake. But if they listed them for $58 instead of $70. They seller could of been looking to just make a sale and get their money back. Stubhub does have the fan protection, but you would be more than likely to get a refund than replacement tickets if this is too good to be true.

It was such a huge change, with little communication from the IRS. Someone could use StubHub once, get hit with a 1099 when they sold something at face value. But yes, always pay taxes on your profits with out without a 1099. But this will stop the IRS from getting millions of 1099s for now
