Hello -
I purchased tickets on Stubhub for a concert a couple days ago. I have not received the tickets and the order just says I will receive them by the event date (which is Feb next year). I just went on Ticketmaster and saw that the same seats I allegedly purchased are for resale on Ticketmaster so now I am concerned the tickets I purchased are fake. I know that StubHub guarantees, so if they are fake, I would get a refund or new seats. But I bought these specific seats to be near friends.
Is there any way to validate earlier the tickets are real or at least request to have them be sent soon?
Thank you!
This is super helpful. Was there anything specific that helped finally get a refund? Or just persistence?
Hi,
It's very likely the seller does not have the tickets you purchased. Sellers on StubHub are not required to provide any proof they have possession of the tickets you are buying. You will likely receive an email/message that the seller "cannot provide the tickets you originally purchased" and offer alternatives that are nowhere near the same value or location of the tickets you purchased. They typically send this message just days before the event, in the hope the buyer will accept any alternatives because they are so close to the event...even though the refund amount and quality of the ticket is terrible. Ask for a full refund....your seller is scamming you. Remember, StubHub gets their fee regardless...ask for a full refund now.
@lindssc1 lindssc1 I've had a similar situation this past week with the seller selling me the mobile tickets, but then somehow the tickets were cancelled on Ticketmaster, and neither TM or StubHub will give me a refund. Getting the "It's not us it's them" response, so neither will take responsibility and neither will give me a refund, even after I've shown receipts where I paid for them. Fan Guarantee my ass! StubHub and TM are both full of it. Don't ever buy off of either platform again!
