Here's an interesting one a friend told me about recently. Stubhub lists a date of a concert that never went onsale. Not sure if it was on spec or if they had a PSL and thus ability to buy when they went onsale, but the tickets sold but the show never went onsale. Seller confirmed with venue that there will not be a show, and as the show never went onsale there is nothing to reschedule. However, Stubhub refuses to cancel the sale and inform the buyer.
Instead they just repeat the usual threats of "if you don't deliver the tickets when the rescheduled date is announced, you will be charged 18x more than the value of replacement seats which always suck" in busted english on a phone line that's breaking up.
What is the end game of Stubhub in this case seeing as the show never went onsale, thus there can't be a reschedule?
