I was excited to make a sale yesterday, first sale in a while but I've sold a few sets of tickets here.
Logged into my account this morning to print the shipping label. I received an error message multiple times and was unable to print the label. Now there is no option to reprint the label, and my tickets are being sold as "shipped" which I can tell you they have not been.
Called customer service and they were also unable to access a label for me. They asked me to purchase my own label, upload proof to them and I will be reimbursed. First of all, this sounds sketchy. Second of all, I have no way to access the buyer name and address. So how do I even know where to ship? How would StubHub be able to link this new tracking number to the purchase?
I want to make my buyer happy - I'm sure StubHub wants that as well. But this all seems backwards to me.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I’m unable to offer you help. But no way would I use my own money for a shipping label and expect to get it reimbursed. LOL I wouldn’t trust Stubhub to make that happen and if the problem to print the label is on their end then they need to fix it. Tell them to fix it or cancel the sale without penalty so that you can try to resell again.
I did want to weigh in with the final resolution to my issue, in case it does someone else some good.
StubHub did indeed refund every cent of the money I went out of pocket for to get the tickets shipped. I had to call customer service to remind them, after I had received the payment for the tickets themselves, but no shipping reimbursement. The call was brief and I had the additional funds sent to me within a few days.
I still think there should be a better process in place for a multi-billion dollar corporation, rather than to put the responsibility on the seller to go out of pocket for shipping, however briefly. In a perfect world, customer service reps should be able to clear the error message I was receiving when trying to print to prepaid label, or be able to email me a backup label in extenuating circumstances like these.
The process definitely seems backwards and a bit sketchy. But that said, they did make me whole, right down to the penny.
