what happens if you sell a ticket, the person goes to the event, then says it didn't work?

I'm questioning this because I've seen posts about this happening and it has me nervous to sell a ticket on here. I just got a notification saying my ticket sold. So now I have to wait 5-8 days after the event before I get paid. But what happens if they go to the event on 1/31 and then tell stubhub the ticket didnt work. Do I end up losing my money on it? if so, I would rather cancel it on here and just sell it online to someone I know. Any help/info on this would be useful. thank you

It’s too late now that your tickets were purchased. If you cancel your sale you will get a penalty of 100% of the sale amount. So transfer your tickets and hope what you’re worried about doesn’t happen.

Wow that's terrible. so basically someone can scam me and stubhub will do nothing about it? that's insane. so I'll lose out on it regardless whether they go or not because they can always say they didn't go, get their refund, and I'm screwed outta money

Hi @ebonafejr

While it does happen it doesn’t happen that often. You can try an obtain a scan report from the venue which would show if the ticket scanned
