When did StubHub decide to automatically limit access to all tickets?! Never been on a website that decided what I want to filter! I can filter based on my preferences - you don't need to decide for me.
The "Recommended Tickets" setting defaults to "On" and unless you know this, you don't realize what's available to purchase. There is no indication that a filter is pre-set. When you set other filters, the button turns purple. If StubHub wants to continue to limit opportunities for people, at least do something on the User Interface that draws people's attention to the fact that you are (like making the button color on "Filters" purple)!
It's bad business for sellers and buyers. Has anyone done the math on how much $$ StubHub and Sellers are losing (commission on "recommended" $50 tickets instead of $150 tickets that are an excellent option, people would buy, but no one sees)? Or how frustrated Buyers are because they can't get seats they'd love to be in? And, do you know how many seats go unfilled simply because no one knows they are available?? My preference is to use StubHub (which I've done for about 10 years), but not if I am going to continue to lose money simply because Buyers can't see the seats I've never had trouble selling in the past.
it has been about a year. Agreed it is horrible. Initially it only blocked seats in same section and row if similar seats are cheaper. Now it blocks even more.
Agreed, its terrible. I have 39 Mets games listed and 36 of them are 'hidden', meaning they are not showing up as 'Recommended tickets'. Hello Seat Geek!
The Hidden/Recommended "algorithm" is ridiculous. When I listed the tickets, they "recommended" a price of $152 for my tickets. I listed it at $20 less than what they suggested. And then it still put me in the "Hidden" pit of death where no one will see my listed tickets. Why list anything on StubHub if they're not going to show your tickets to buyers? Baffling and extremely frustrating -- it's like they're trying to drive me away from using their site.
Agreed. It makes it look like less inventory so buyers think they have to buy. I have had instances where I am the only one with seats for sale in section and it is hidden. Stubhub you are losing out on sales because of this feature.
I agree, 100%. It's an absolutely terrible "feature."
