Stubhub no longer allows one-click (no fee) relisting on all tickets

I just bought tickets to an event and attempted to relist them using the "Relist your tickets" button.  I noticed that the button is no longer there on any of my Stubhub orders.  If I clicked on the "Download my tickets" button to accept the tickets from Ticketmaster, there IS a "Sell your ticket" button on that screen.  But, rather than relisting them without fees, it takes you to the screen where you start a completely new listing.  Not a relist.

I called Top Seller support and was told that the relist feature is no longer available on all orders and they couldn't tell me why or which orders if any it will be available on.  For now, none of the orders in my account have the relist button.

Mainly just giving other sellers a heads up here, since that may no longer be an option.  But also curious if anyone else has noticed this.

One side note - Previously you were protected by using the relist button if you relisted tickets from a Stubhub purchase, but never received them.  I'm wondering if that will change as well.

Thanks for the heads up.  I just ran into the same thing and after about a dozen calls/emails/chats, I got the response below.  This must be a new thing because never had issues relisting tickets in the past.  Pretty disappointed though, to say the least

Unfortunately, the option to relist the tickets without any fees only applies before the seller has fulfilled the order. In this case, the seller has already sent the tickets to you so that is why you are unable to relist the tickets without any fees. This order is already complete so you must manually relist the tickets.

Yeah, on my account at least, I've actually had the issue they described to you for a very long time.  It's only for mobile transfer tickets. Once they've been transferred, I haven't had a relist button show for a really long time.  It does however continue to show when PDF tickets are delivered and I believe they type of transfer where Stubhub automatically forwards the ticket transfer to the buyer.  Leads me to believe this is more of a bug that was never fixed, but who knows.

But, the weird thing with the order I wrote this post about:  I tried to relist right after purchasing and BEFORE the tickets were delivered, but it still wasn't possible.

No idea what the intended behavior is, if anything actually changed or if these are just random bugs.

This is hilarious! Stubhub customer service told me, literally, the exact opposite of this yesterday. I was told, in no uncertain terms, that the reason why I could not list the tickets I had purchased the day earlier was... that the seller from whom I purchased these tickets had not yet delivered the tickets to me.

Classic Stubhub. Talk to two people (based in some sh%$hole country who  cannot communicate in English or any major European language properly) and get three answers, none of which explain the situation or resolve anything. I often end up more confused after talking to Stubhub than I was before I reached out.

Just another outrageous example of how top sellers - actually, ALL sellers, continue to get treated more and more terribly by Stubhub. No consistency - sometimes sellers get this perk, sometimes sellers don't. This level of terrible customer service is something I have never seen before. It's a tech company whose tech routinely deteriorates. I'm sure HBS studies will be written about this one day bc it is truly remarkable to observe and experience first-hand. I am torn as to whether this is pure incompetence or strategic malice. For a company to have Stubhub's market dominance to willfully surrender all competitive advantages to its competitors is shocking and unprecedented in an industry of this size and simplicity. Is it purposeful on the part of Stubhub management, thinking the secondary market industry is dying so they will milk all they can from it while it's still producing, assuming there's no long-term consequences? A belief that the current market share is impregnable? I'd pay a pretty penny to be a fly on the wall at these strategy meetings to know why they're destroying their own company. Sheesh!
