Bought a ticket in row 2, received Row 9 and Stubhub won’t refund the order

I recently purchased a ticket listed in Row 2 of the section. It’s actually in Row 9. Stubhub says this is the correct row. They sent the ticket back to me after i transferred it to them for a refund and they told me they won’t be refunding the order.

This is fraud right?

Re: Bought a ticket in row 2, received Row 9 and Stubhub won’t refund the order

The issue with this ticket was that it was listed as being in row 2 of the section. Once i received it, i realized the section has no numbered rows and they are double-lettered, starting at AA. My ticket was II (ii), which is the 9th row of the section. Seller must have made a mistake when listing.

Called customers service, transferred the ticket to SH. After many calls, 2 weeks later they said it was the correct ticket and they won’t be refunding me and sent me the ticket back.

However today they are “escalating” it again. in my experience, escalating at stubhub usually means doing nothing and i’ll eventually have to call back the day of the show and try to get a refund then. But we’ll see.

It’s so hard to deal with stubhub these days when a straight forward issue arises, like not getting your tickets at all. It’s even harder when it’s not as clear is an issue. Hoping for a refund some day.

Yes, this is a form of misrepresentation, and StubHub should be held accountable. If the listing explicitly stated Row 2 but you received Row 9, that is not the ticket you agreed to purchase. You should escalate the issue by contacting StubHub’s customer support again, providing screenshots of the listing and the ticket details. If they refuse to resolve it, consider disputing the charge with your credit card company or filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) or your local consumer protection agency.
